In the 1950s, Lisbon was still far from being the city we know today. At the time, Lisbon was not yet an overcrowded city, nor the tourist attraction that today places the city as one of the main destinations in Europe. At the same time, after several decades of devising the construction of a luxury hotel unit with all the requirements of the modern hospitality, the government approached a group of businessmen and bankers to fulfill this desire. The project advanced and gave rise to the construction of the Ritz Hotel.

For the construction of Hotel Ritz, a hotel unit with an area of 13,000 square meters, 15 floors and 290 rooms (including 20 suites), Sotécnica ensured the execution of all the electrical installations. After 60 years, the Ritz Hotel is still an iconic hotel in the center of Lisbon and a reference construction for the hotel sector in Portugal.
