EDP – Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

The EDP Group’s commitment to Electric Mobility has been implemented in its facilities with infrastructures that allow the progressive increase of the fleet at its disposal.

The head office building on Avenida 24 de Julho, in Lisbon, is no exception, and despite the occasional installations of charging stations with power already available at the facility, it was necessary to create, to respond to pressing situations with higher consumption, a power supply dedicated to the floor -6 (garage) for the purpose.

Sotécnica installed the Power Infrastructure that allowed to place on the floor -6, a partial switchboard for the floor to power Electric Vehicle Charging Systems (QP-6CVE), starting from QGBT, with the respective change in the protective equipment. purpose, as well as the laying of power supply cables as required.

One of the outputs provided by this board was intended to power a satellite charging station, already in the experimental phase, which communicates via the modem of the Smart Charging Hub. The supply included a 4x22kW electric vehicle charger (QECVE) switchboard implemented in a stainless steel structure, designed for this purpose, which allows the fixing of the electric switchboard, charging stations and to house the connections originating in the QP-6CVE.

This type of charging defines all intelligent features in a charging station that helps streamline the process, making it an indispensable resource for multiple charging point operators.

Smart Charging creates and distributes the available energy in an efficient and flexible way. This will prevent unnecessary costs such as overcapacity charges and make the most of your charging stations in the event of limited power capacity. Anywhere, anytime. It allows to distribute the available capacity by location in proportion to the charging stations in use with the load balancing service.
