Brand Stories: Eduardo Silva, Project Manager

Tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Carlos Eduardo Silva, I am 28 years old and I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have been working at Sotécnica for four years, where I started directing HVAC works and have been developing my technical and project management knowledge.

What was the most challenging project you were involved in?

The most challenging project for me, as a Sotécnica employee, was the REN Headquarters HVAC Remodeling Contract. In this project, Sotécnica was the Executing Entity, being responsible for all the resources and authorizations necessary to complete the contract. Additionally, it was a refurbishment in a building that was still in operation, with all the limitations and management/planning of the areas to be intervened, and also the fact of the customer being very strict in terms of Quality, Environment and Safety.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone who wants to be a Project Manager, what would it be?

The advice I give, among the many that are suitable for those who intend to play Project Manager roles, is to focus on organization and planning, both at the process level and team management.

What, in your opinion, are the main challenges of Sotécnica’s activity in the current context we live in?

Within the current context, I believe that one of the great challenges of Sotécnica activity will be to have qualified teams with the capacity to respond to the execution deadlines.
